About Paul Colbourne
I am a professional, award winning editor and producer living in St. John's, Newfoundland.
My first editing gig was with CBC Halifax. After graduating Ryerson University I was hired as a summer relief editor for the evening news. This was in 1989 and CBC News Network was just starting. I then freelanced with CBC network and the local CTV affiliate, ATV ASN.
In 1990 I was hired by VideoPost Inc, across the harbour in Dartmouth. It was here I honed my skills editing local TV commercials, private corporate videos and music videos for the local Halifax music scene.
In 1993 I moved on to TVO in Ontario. I became their documentary editor for the new current events show, Studio 2. In 1998 myself and producer David Hawkins, won a Gemini award for best information segment. I was nominated again in 2001 and in 2005.
In 2016 I moved back to Newfoundland I and am currently working as a freelance editor and producer in St. John's.
I also run my own production company, VPC Production.
